If you have been keeping up to date with our website, you may be aware that we have been in competition with another design agency for the re-branding for The City of Prospect's new logo.
We are very excited to announce that the City of Prospect has finally made a decision and chose our logo for their new identity. If you would like to read more about the creative idea behind the new logo please read the following:
In 1934 “The Corporation of the City of Prospect” developed and adopted its first symbol, a crest (coat of arms) comprising of four squares containing symbols of a cornucopia, two gold wheat stacks and a wing, all of which reflected the village life of the community at that time. Since the development of the crest in 1934, two variations have been used in addition to a position statement, the “creative community”. With the newly adopted vision for City of Prospect, Council decided it was time to undertake the development of new symbol that is more reflective of the City’s present and its future.
The newly adopted vision, “Environmentally aware, sustainably managed, vibrant and progressive city, proud of its heritage, sense of community and quality of life” was the brief given to locally based graphic design companies to develop a new symbol.
After many presentations and discussions Council finally selected the winning symbol which embodied the following characteristics: Confidently unique, simple, eye catching, strong and very dynamic.
A symbol, a logo and a brand for now and the future that encompasses the vision of City of Prospect in a simple, recognisable Icon.
A single symbol/logo that can be applied effectively across any medium, regardless of size or situation. Taking the concept of a tree and abstracting it to create a dynamic icon, unique in its presentation, without forgetting its roots.
Reflecting Prospect as a city of creativity and progress, a city aware of its environment and proud of its heritage and sense of community.
